Northwest Log Homes and Timber Products is owned and operated by Larry and Sherry Roos and family. Located in the far northern section of Maryland, northwest of Baltimore and 20 minutes south of Gettysburg, Pa., Northwest Log Homes serves Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and northern Virginia.
After working in the conventional building industry, and having built his own conventional home in 1976, Larry knew early on he would like to eventually build and live in a log home. After 8 years of researching log homes, which included many visits to job sites, manufacturers and log home tours, etc; he finally found a company that could meet his expectations as a superior log specie, an exceptional joinery system, properly milled and dried logs, and outstanding sales personnel. That company was Log Homes of America, located in Jefferson, NC. In February of 1990, Larry and Sherry became dealers for Log Homes of America, inc. and agreed to build their log home with a custom package from LHA, Inc.
As a builder/dealer since that time, Northwest has supplied and constructed almost every type of home dreamed of by clients, from 500 sq ft to over 6000 sq ft. Larry and his wife Sherry and their five children work together to enable Northwest Log Homes and Timber Products to produce beautiful, quality log homes for the customers to enjoy for a lifetime.
Using the skills and abilities he has developed over the years, Larry, and his subcontractors will see that your project is completed to his, and your satisfaction, whether you contract for a dry-in construction or a full turn-key, or you are a do-it-yourselfer, Larry will be involved from start to finish.
